Kristen Cox, president and CEO of 16x9 Productions, has specialized exclusively in HDTV for the past nine years. While working for HD VISION, she became one of a select few HDTV producers in the United States. Her experiences in such prestigious productions as the first live HDTV transmission of a sporting event inspired her to break out on her own, forming 16x9 Productions.

Cox was inducted into the prestigious Academy of Digital Television Pioneers in 2003. The Academy of Digital Television Pioneers is a select group of approximately 200 individuals from the broadcasting, program development, consumer electronics manufacturing and retail industries, as well as present and former government officials and members of the media. Of the 200 academy members, there are only 12 other women. Cox joins Representative Jane Harman, Susan Fox of Walt Disney, The Honorable Kathleen Abernathy of the FCC and The Honorable Nancy J. Victory of the Department of Commerce, among others, as a top pioneer in the digital television revolution.

Cox has garnered awards from Telly, Aurora, Aegis, Videographer, Summit, Cinema Chicago and the Communicator, as well as nominations for outstanding work by the International Electronic Cinema Festival (IECF). She was also recognized by AV Video Multimedia Producer Magazine as one of the Top 100 Producers of 2000.
